Our experienced tutors have helped hundreds of students to fulfil their academic potential. Our excellent network of tutors includes qualified teachers, experienced tutors and high-flying postgraduate and undergraduate students.


Role


We are currently looking for a part-time advisor to join our small team from August onwards ahead of the new academic year. In this role, you will be responsible for arranging and managing tuition by email and phone.


As part of the role, you would be working alongside the founder of the business on a part-time basis. Initially, the time commitment would be 2 - 3 mornings / afternoons per week. However, there is the opportunity for this to develop in the future for the right person.


Responsibilities


  1. Taking requests for tuition from clients by email and phone, understanding requirements and providing tailored information and support.
  2. Identifying suitable tutors based on client requirements, sharing tutoring jobs using our website portal Tutor Zone and confirming tutor availability by email and phone.
  3. Scheduling the first lesson, responding to client and tutor queries throughout tuition and providing solutions in line with company guidelines.
  4. Overseeing tuition arrangements, providing client care by email and phone and ensuring that our website portal Tutor Zone is kept up to date at all times.
  5. Reviewing tutor applications, conducting introductory calls, scheduling tutor meetings and carrying out DBS and reference checks.


Experience / Skills


  1. 3+ years experience in a comparable sales, recruitment or customer service role
  2. Understanding of UK education system and interest in education
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  4. Good organisational and time management skills
  5. Strong computer skills and attention to detail
  6. Able to solve problems intuitively
  7. Able to work independently

As part of the role, you would receive 1:1 training and mentoring from the founder of the business in all areas including client care, tutor care and business operations.


There would be a degree of flexibility regarding the working days and times. This is a hybrid opportunity, so the work would be carried out in-person as well as from home.


There is a yearly bonus scheme which is based on the hours of tuition that take place in the course of the academic year.


During your time at Grove Tutors, an end of term lunch or dinner would be included in Richmond or a surrounding area in SW London.
