  • Marketing Assistant 

    We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to help us support and nurture our growing online community. We focus on helping professionals understand, launch, manage and grow successful portfolio careers.


    The successful candidate for this role will report to the COO/CMO, whilst also collaborating with other departments within the company where needed. 


    This role provides an exciting opportunity for a talented and organised marketing professional to contribute in a fast-paced startup environment, backed by the knowledge and support of a highly experienced leadership team.


    Who are we?

    The Portfolio Collective (TPC) was set up by Ben Legg (former COO of Google Europe) in July 2020 with our COO Fiona Chorlton-Voong. It is forecast that half of all professionals globally will be portfolio professionals by 2030, so they launched TPC with the mission of helping professionals understand, launch, manage and grow successful portfolio careers.

    We are now a team of 12 (+ 30 fractional community members) who are passionate about building the world’s leading community for portfolio professionals. In our first four years, we’ve scaled rapidly, with key achievements including:


    1. Attracted over 400,000 unique visitors to our website
    2. Conducted 400+ events 
    3. Built a professional networking platform with over 11,000 diverse, high-calibre members
    4. A Trustpilot score of 4.8/5
    5. Sustained revenue growth of ~50% per quarter since Q1 2023

    Key responsibilities

    Community management

    Provide ongoing engagement with community members to facilitate conversations and encourage relationship-building.


    Social media

    Work closely with our graphic designer to ideate, create and schedule all our social media content and analyse the data trends to inform our future growth strategy.


    Content and emails

    Support with the creation of monthly newsletters, promotional emails and website copy.


    CRM

    Support with the management of our CRM system (Hubspot) and emails.


    Events

    Support the community events facilitator and team with general event management (both online and in-person) from planning through to execution.


    Marketing administration

    Maintain and update marketing calendars, schedules and project timelines, whilst supporting the rest of the team with general marketing administration.



    The ideal candidate

    You should have 1-2 years of marketing experience and the ability to use data to make informed marketing decisions within a fast-paced working environment (e.g. startup, creative agency or similar) and a passion for helping professionals launch and sustain successful portfolio careers.

    What can we offer you?

    The role will be full time, with flexible working hours and remote-first working. Most days will be remote working, but you’ll need to live within ~2 hours of London, to be able to support in-person community events and TPC team days that take place around once per month.


    Compensation will include a salary of £26k-£30k pro-rata depending on experience, as well as stock options. We are open to 32-40 hours per week.
