Hey there! We're Gluey, and we're on a mission to transform global supply chain and logistics operations. Our platform connects all the software systems your operation needs to seamlessly move freight and parcels across the globe. It's a big task, but we’re taking it one step at a time, and we need your help!

What We’re Building:

We’ve developed an AI that can build software integrations, drastically reducing the time it takes to integrate new systems. What takes our competitors about 30 days to achieve we can do in under 2 days. We are going to bring this down to minutes and hours and connect the entire world of supply chain and logistics. At the moment we are launching our first clients and are rapidly expanding, which is why we are looking to bring onboard our founding team.

Who We’re Looking For:

We’re on the hunt for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our founding team. Here’s the deal: while having the necessary technical chops is crucial, we care just as much about your attitude and mindset. We need someone who’s also excited about building something from the ground up and shaping the future of Gluey. As a member of the founding team you will also be a part of establishing the culture of the company.

Our Stack:

It's great if you've worked with these technologies, but don't worry if you haven't – it's not a deal-breaker for us. Here's what we're using:

1. Python: The backbone of our operations.
2. PyTorch: For all things AI and machine learning.
3. FastAPI: For… well, APIs.
4. Docker: For containerizing our applications.
5. Azure: Our cloud platform of choice.

We're more interested in your overall software engineering skills and how quickly you can pick up new technologies. So if you’re familiar with similar tools, you’ll fit right in!

Desirable Experience:

1. Carrier integration experience: You have previously worked with integrating parcel and / or freight carriers.
2. AI / ML - You have maybe built neural networks on your own, used transfer learning with some existing open-source models or created a few RAG apps. That would of course be a great addition.

1. Attitude and Mindset: We care about how eager you are to learn and grow. Do you love diving into new books or taking courses? Are you open to feedback and enjoy collaborating? Are you naturally curious about the world? We want to know how many new technologies you explore each year and if you’re the type who sees setbacks as learning opportunities. Do you ask questions, even the "dumb" ones, without hesitation?
2. Technical Skills: We'll check out your general software engineering ability. This includes your skill in writing clean and maintainable code, debugging, and optimising performance. We’ll also look at your understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles and patterns. It's about how you approach and solve problems, and design robust systems. We value your ability to think critically and adapt to new challenges over expertise in any specific stack.
3. Experience with Our Stack: While it’s great if you know Python, PyTorch, FastAPI, Docker, and Azure, it's not a deal-breaker if you don’t. Our CTO has switched tech stacks a few times in his career, so he values your general technical skills and how quickly you can learn new things more than knowledge about specific technologies.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

As a founding engineer, you'll be at the core of our development efforts. You'll work closely with our small but mighty team (the Founders) to design, develop, and deploy both our general backend and our AI. You'll have the opportunity to influence the company culture, contribute to strategic decisions and build out the team.
