Company Overview

We are a fast-growing healthcare startup with a consumer facing consultation platform. Our services include free NHS appointments, along with other free and paid services like contraception and private medical consultations. We’re exiting our beta testing phase, the demand for which has been extremely high with user satisfaction exceeding all expectation. We're now preparing to scale nationally as well as introducing a range of additional services. The business expects to go through a funding round in the coming months that will enable further growth.

Role: Freelance Community Manager 

Contract Terms: Month-to-month rolling freelance contract.

Entirely remote. No set hours/days expected but ad-hoc strategy/planning/alignment sessions and bi-weekly check-in calls will be necessary, as will a weekly performance report.

A budget of up to £500/month will be provided for content creation and other expenses. 

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation
    • Develop engaging and useful content for users on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok
    • Create graphics, videos, and written posts tailored to each platform
    • Align content with current social media trends while maintaining a professional healthcare tone
  • Community Engagement
    • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly and professionally
    • Foster a positive and supportive online community, particularly around specific healthcare topics including women's health
    • Monitor and report on feedback and social media activity
  • Growth Strategies
    • Analyse and implement growth strategies based on the tactics used by successful accounts in the space
    • Utilise data-driven insights to optimise content and engagement strategies
    • Experiment with new features and trends on each platform to drive engagement and growth

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts, specifically in healthcare or a related field
  • Strong content creation skills, including graphic design and video editing
  • Up-to-date with the latest social media trends and platform updates
  • Ability to balance creativity with the professional standards required in a healthcare setting
  • Skilled written communicator with an eye for detail

Tactics to Emulate

  • Utilise informative posts with clear visuals and straightforward messaging. Engage followers with interactive content such as Q&A sessions and polls
  • Focus on a mix of educational content, patient testimonials, and behind-the-scenes looks at healthcare processes. Use a consistent and clean visual style
  • Some influencer work is likely over the coming months

Goals

Primary:

  1. Increase follower count and engagement across all platforms
  2. Improve brand awareness and reputation within the healthcare community and wider UK consumer market

Secondary:

  1. Drive traffic to consultation platform
