We are looking for a dynamic Engineering Manager to spearhead a new team within our payment cards domain. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of building and shaping the Cards & Integrations team, from the ground up.

Here’s what you’ll be doing as Engineering Manager:

• Lead the formation and management of a distributed cross-functional engineering team responsible for our payment cards backend ecosystem expansion
• Translating business requirements into actionable engineering plans and owning the team's execution, delivery, and quality
• Providing mentorship and coaching to engineers, fostering professional growth and development
• Cultivating a positive team culture and work environment
• Ensuring the delivery of domain-specific technology that aligns with TransferGo's overarching engineering strategy
• Advocating for engineering excellence by establishing key metrics and promoting continuous operational enhancements
• Actively participating in the evolution and implementation of TransferGo's engineering strategy, contributing to foundational reworks within your domain

You’ll report to our Engineering Director.

Here’s what we’d love from our new Engineering Manager:

• Proven experience in guiding and leading teams to develop high-criticality backend services
• A generalist approach - eager to experiment and tackle various challenge
• Comfort in navigating uncertainty and embracing new challenges
• Expertise in developing large-scale solutions using the .NET stack
• A strong inclination towards efficiency and collaboration
• Ability to be hands on technically

And if you can also do this stuff, even better:

• Experience in the payment cards sector and the development of business user-centric products is highly advantageous
• Hands-on experience in breaking down monoliths, and introducing new technologies into the mix
