Sales/Business Development Manager

Up to 45k base (FTE), OTE 75k (uncapped)

Homebased (UK) with some travel to meetings/events

Dotter is a young, fast growing technology company, doing some pretty cool stuff in the digital commerce space with massive global brands – Kellogg’s, Coca-Cola, Hendrick’s, Peroni, to name a few.

We’re looking for a bright, savvy individual who is a self-sufficient Sales Executive/Business Development Manager – someone with a keen eye for detail, great relationship building skills and the ability to uncover, pitch and close growth opportunities with existing clients & pre-qualified new business prospects.

This role will see you be responsible for a number of key accounts, establishing yourself as the “go to” person and industry expert for all things digital commerce. You will be a key member of the commercial team and work closely with the Client Services team to ensure we are delivering the best solutions for our clients and always on the lookout for opportunities to expand our work with each.

Projects are varied, clients and agencies are global. It’s essential that you have a strong attention to detail and are a highly organised multi-tasker, with enthusiasm and willingness to learn new industry knowledge. More than 5 years working experience with a minimum 3 year experience in either a digital account or business development role is expected.

The role will include, but is not limited to:

Business Development

  • Identifying, qualifying, approaching, pitching and closing new business opportunities across target sectors and territories
  • End to end sales process for pre-qualified leads generated through Dotter’s inbound lead generation programme, client referrals, website enquiries, etc
  • Delivering a consultative approach to sales, whilst always ensuring Dotter’s key messages are clearly communicated
  • Ensuring client KPIs and ROI expectations are set appropriately to optimise renewal rates and upsell opportunities

Account Leadership

  • Building & maintaining strong, long lasting customer relationships
  • Meeting with clients to discuss future opportunities and presenting key findings
  • Identifying, pitching and closing upsell/client expand opportunities
  • Managing client renewal process
  • Interpret briefs and collate a response
  • Talk confidently and knowledgeably about all aspects of the Dotter technology
  • Work effectively with the rest of the team and other internal departments to ensure clear and consistent communication
  • Keeping on top of industry news & acting as “trusted advisor” to clients & partners

Required Skills and Experience

  • More than 5 years working experience with a minimum 3 years in account management or business development
  • Great relationship building skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to co-ordinate with clients and across internal teams
  • Commercial mind – always on the lookout for revenue opportunities
  • Great communicator – written and verbally, with ability to instill confidence in clients & partners

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in advertising/media agency project management
  • Experience/contacts within FMCG/Alcohol/Kids & Baby/Consumer Goods/Health & Beauty sectors
  • Working knowledge of website technology and/or digital media

Dotter has achieved significant growth in the past two years, with huge expansion plans for 2024 and beyond. Salary negotiable based on experience, up to 45k basic with an (uncapped) OTE of 75k. You will also be eligible to join the applicable employee share scheme after a qualifying period.
