    The Role

    This is a broad-scoped role working across several areas of marketing. If moving quickly, getting things done, eye for detail, collaboration and organisation are your thing, this is a great role   

    Marketing Comms

    Connecting with existing and potential customers through exciting and engaging comms is what we love to do here at Tom’s Studio. Whether that’s telling them about new product launches, introducing special editions, offering digital creative guides, offering occasional discounts for special occasions or just letting them know what’s going on behind the scenes at Tom’s Studio via our monthly From The Studio newsletter. You’ll be responsible for creating the comms, drafting copy, writing creative briefs, partnering with our creative team and project managing it all to ensure everything is delivered on time. 

    Influencer Marketing - Acquisition

    You’ll own our influencer marketing channel where amazing creators from around the world demonstrate our products to their communities in return for commission on the sales they generate. We’ve built a loyal community, and are now looking to take it to the next level. You’ll grow the channel via targeted ambassador outreach, liaise with and create engaging comms for our existing ambassadors, run seasonal competitions and incentives, as well as analyse and report on the commercial performance of the channel. 

    Retail Partner Comms

    Tom’s Studio is sold in a growing number of stores around the world. You’ll own the CRM strategy and execution for engaging with these retail partners to ensure they’re regularly engaged with our brand. You’ll make sure they’re always up-to-speed with our latest news, product launches and general goings on, as well as providing any supporting information required to sell our expanding product range. 

    PR

    As a small company with big ambitions, we want to tell more people about our story, our Founder Tom’s journey, and how we’re changing the stationery industry for the better with our “refill-ution” mission. You’ll identify and outreach to journalists and influencers across various niches, building and maintaining a PR database, selectively seeding product to VIPs, briefing our creative team on VIP collateral, as well as drafting and pitching press releases. 

    Organic Social 

    You’ll support the creation and delivery of our social content calendar, planning, creating and posting highly relevant and engaging content across Instagram, TikTok and other social channels. You’ll work closely with our Founder Tom to ensure his voice is a regular presence,, developing a deep understanding of our community and leveraging data to learn how they respond to our content, identifying trends and regularly analysing and reporting back on KPIs. 

     

    We’re looking for someone who:

    • Lives and breathes the brand: You have a deep understanding of what makes our brand unique and are passionate about communicating that message to the world.
    • Is a creative storyteller: You can craft compelling narratives that capture attention and resonate with our target audience. The idea of telling customers about our latest product launch is exciting!
    • Builds strong relationships: You can effectively collaborate with internal teams & external stakeholders, including freelancers and our global ambassador community 
    • Comfortable in a start-up environment: you enjoy moving quickly, rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in executing against a plan. You’re always moving forward and open to adapting if things change. 
    • Is highly organised: you love nothing more than pulling together and owning a plan, tracking deliverables against deadlines and keeping everyone aligned on on the status of projects
    • Thinks strategically: You can analyse trends, identify opportunities, and develop data-driven strategies that align with our business goals. 
    • Comfortable with data: we’re not looking for an analytical genuius, but you can think analytically and are comfortable working with KPIs to measure the impact of your work & iterate accordingly
    • Has an eye for detail: You care about how the brand presents to the world, and are the first to spot a missing full-stop or comma or broken link in an email. Details matter to you.
    • Bonus points: has an interest in sustainable practices, art and design, or passion for stationery 

    Your 

    background/experience:

    • Min. 3 years experience in a Brand / Marketing Manager role ideally in a D2C or eComm brand 
    • Excellent communication, written and verbal skills
    • Strong creative and analytical thinking abilities
    • Demonstrated experience overseeing projects end-to-end and working to deadlines
    • Experience working in an environment influenced by data and analytics 
    • Experience demonstrating how your work is informed by marketing principles and best practices.
    • Bonus points: Experience managing or inputting into a brand’s social media activity, influencer marketing 

    Role Location

    2-3 days per week in either our Ringwood, Hampshire location or Frome, Somerset location
