You’d be joining a team of over 170 passionate, ambitious people, across Europe and the USA, building a category-leading fintech product and all united by that same mission.

The Opportunity:

As we continue to broaden our product offering we are looking to strengthen our engineering leadership team, offering the chance to own key product domains and teams, driving engineering efforts, setting product specific technical strategy and execution.

What will you be doing?

• Taking ownership of certain key product domains. Overseeing the architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Working alongside other Engineering Directors to set standards and practices, ensuring a uniformed approach across squads; including hiring, mentoring and performance management.
• Serve as a technical evangelist and advocate for engineering excellence within the organisation and the broader tech community; promoting Wagestream as a thought leader.
• Work with the CTO as well as the senior leadership team to define and execute the technical roadmap and strategy aligned with the company's business OKRs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and operations, to prioritise and deliver product features and iterations.
• Drive continuous improvement in software development processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and velocity.

• Monitor and analyse system performance, scalability, and reliability metrics, and implement solutions to optimise performance and mitigate risks.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices, and assess their potential impact on our product and business.

What experience might you have?

• Proven engineering leadership experience.
• Extensive experience building and scaling platforms and products.
• Up to date and constantly evolving technical expertise in software development, architecture, and infrastructure, with proficiency in modern technologies and frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving innovation, delivering results, and solving complex technical challenges.
• Passion for social impact and a commitment to driving positive change through technology.

Salary: Starting from £130,000 + Bonus & Stock Options.
