Reporting to our QA Manager/Lead, we are looking to hire smart and technically savvy QA Engineers to join our team and help drive the growth of INSTANDA.

You will be an SME in Testing, assisting one or more teams in developing high quality deliverables for clients including designing and developing articulate and reusable test artefacts for exercising functionality at the UI level and APIs.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the PM, Business Analysts and Configurators to define testable Acceptance Criteria.
  • Actively participate in all phases of software development lifecycles.
  • Analysing requirements, plans, prepare test cases and test scenarios.
  • Execution of manual and automated tests (primarily API focused)
  • Communicating effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Sharing knowledge and building the Client delivery community.
  • Implementation of appropriate estimation techniques to guide planning and support Client releases
  • Effective utilisation of toolsets designed to support API testing.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in software testing with hands-on experience in various testing methodologies and approaches.
  • Comfortable and diplomatic in challenging team members and stakeholders on quality related issues.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Clear understanding of the SDLC and the responsibilities of a tester.
  • Ability to test beyond a simple demonstration of the required functionality.
  • Experience with estimation techniques to support project planning and release cycles.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Understands what an API is, can engage in meaningful discussions with a stakeholder relating to an API specification.
  • A basic understanding of Javascript.
  • Comfortable highlighting and escalating any risk they foresee within the project lifecycle
  • Can think outside the box and use own initiative to problem solve.
  • Can Interpret API specifications and derive appropriate expected behaviour, business logic, test data and test cases.
  • Identify and query specific business rules / logic

  • Previous exposure working with a SaaS product, in a high growth company or in the insurance industry
